Publishing Ethics

The editorial team of the Journal Paradigms of Management, Economics and Law is fully commited to complying with the ethical standards accepted by the international scientific community, to prevent any violations both in the editorial team and contributors` work.

 

Editor-in-Chief

  • is responsible for making a decision to publish a manuscript based on the opinion of reviewers, members of the Editorial Council and the Editorial Board.
  • evaluates the intellectual content of manuscripts regardless of the race, gender, religious views, origin, citizenship or political preferences of authors. Scientific merit and practical significance are the main criteria for the publication of the submitted manuscript.
  • together with the Editorial Council and the Editorial Board take appropriate measures in the event of ethical claims or suspected misconduct concerning the reviewed manuscripts or published materials.

 

Editorial Council

  • notifies authors of the receipt of a manuscript submitted for review within seven working days from the date of the receipt;
  • ensures the confidentiality of manuscripts and research data, of the review process and correspondence with authors;
  • ensure that appropriate reviewers are selected for submissions and the blind review procedure - anonymous for both reviewers and authors - is followed;
  • informs contributors of the reviewers' comments and recommendations and, together with contributors outline deadlines for making changes to submitted manuscripts;
  • makes significant changes to the manuscript only after prior approval by the author, although minor stylistic or textual corrections may be made independently.

 

Members of the Editorial Board and the Editorial Council of the Journal are entitled to submit manuscripts for review on general terms. The Editorial Board undertakes to ensure equal rights for all contributors, absence of any individual preferences in the process of reviewing, preparation and publication of articles.

The editors guarantee the absence of any discrimination against contributors on the basis of race, gender, nationality, age or any other grounds. A contributor to the Journal may be any individual who has independently conducted scientific research and presented it in the format required for the publication to be recognized as scientific. Acceptance of a manuscript depends on the scientific merit of its content.

The editors may reject the manuscript before its formal review if they find it to be inconsistent with the format or content focus of the Journal. Manuscripts must be solely the work of the author(s) stated, must not have been previously published elsewhere, and must not be under consideration by another journal. In case of detection of plagiarism, data falsification, fabricationof or other unethical behavior when submitting the manuscript, the editorial board of the Journal denies the contributor any right to publish the material.

The editor may retract a publication for any reason that irreversibly undermines the article's validity, integrity or ethical standards. The grounds for retracting an article post-publication:

  • previous publication elsewhere;
  • discovered plagiarism;
  • conflicts of interest or undeclared competing interests;
  • falsification, fabrication, or misrepresentation of data;
  • untrue authorship claims;
  • errors that undermine scientific merit of the article.

This journal will consider retractions in line with COPE’s Retraction Guidelines.

 

Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

  • Reviewers are expected to provide an unbiased, constructive critique of the manuscript. Reviews should be objective and constructive, ensuring feedback is clear and helpful to authors.
  • Reviewers should respect the confidentiality of the manuscripts they evaluate. They should not disclose any information about the work or use it for personal advantage, ensuring the integrity of the review process.
  • Reviewers should inform the editor-in-chief about the presence of falsified data, plagiarism and other ethics violations peroin the manuscript under review;
  • Reviewers should adhere to the proposed or mutually agreed time frame for submittiion reviews;
  • Reviewers should ensure they declare all potential competing, or conflicting, interests before or in the course of reviewing the manuscript;
  • Reviewers should promptly inform the editor-in-chief if the feel non qualifed to judge a particular manuscript, or unable to return a review within the proposed time frame;
  • Reviewers should not use information or ideas obtained during the review for personal gain.

 

If you are an author or co-author of the manuscript, currently employed at the same institution as any of the authors or have been recent, mentors, mentees, close collaborators or joint grant holders, you should not agree to review.

Both members of the editorial board and editorial council, as well as other scientists who are recognized experts within the scope of the content in a manuscript can be assigned appropriate reviewers.

In the event of a serious divergence of opinions among reviewers or reasonable doubts on the part of the editors regarding the possibility of publishing the manuscript, an additional review may be conducted. The editors do not disclose the names of reviewers or the results of assessment.

Ethical Requirements for Authors

By submitting a manuscript for publication, the author/s guarantee/s:

  • absence in the manuscript of links to websites and materials of an extremist nature prohibited in the Russian Federation;
  • correct authorship calm of the submitted manuscript, that is, an author is an individual judged to have made a substantial intellectual or practical contribution to a publication and who agrees to be accountable for that contribution;
  • all co-authors` approval of the submitted for publication manuscript;
  • originality, accuracy, integrity and absence of plagiarism of any part of the work;
  • absence of knowingly false or fraudulent information, erroneous references, complete and accurate citation of scientific works used in the process of conducting research and writing the manuscript;
  • the article, in whole or in part, has not been previously published (text recycling), which is deemed unacceptable, thus a submitted manuscript may be rejected and a published article may require a post-publication change.
  • the presence of written consent from all individuals subject of research, in order to comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning privacy and/or security of personal information;
  • declaration of all potential competing, or conflicting, interests of personal, fnancial, intellectual, professional, political or religious in nature;
  • refrain from making unfair negative comments or including unjustifed criticisms of any competitors’ work that is mentioned in the manuscript;
  • proper response to comments of the editorial board on the manuscript.

 

Contributors submitting manuscripts for publication in the Journal confirm that their work does not infringe any existing copyrights and guarantee that the publisher will be held harmless in the event of such infringement. For ease of distribution and implementation of the openaccess policy for the use of materials, the authors transfer exclusive ownership of the manuscript to the publisher, unless otherwise provided.The author is recognized as a person who participated directly in research, concept development and manuscript writing. The manuscript may indicate other persons who were in one way or another involved in obtaining the scientific results presented in the publication.

We reserve the right to bring serious cases to the attention of employers or local authorities, if needed, and may refuse to interact, or do business, with individuals who repeatedly or seriously violate the publishing ethics policy.
