Manuscript Review Framework

The publication of scientific materials in the Journal Paradigms of Management, Economics and Law requires mandatory review of manuscripts submitted by authors. Manuscript review is carried out in two stages:

Stage 1. Express manuscript assessment for compliance with materials submission requirements for publication in the Journal and for absence of copying fragments of another’s paper (without attribution using the automated plagiarism detection software "Антиплагиат-ВУЗ " is carried out by deputy editors-in-chief within fifteen working days from the manuscript receipt date. The acceptable percentage of the manuscript authenticity is at least 70%.

Stage 2. Double-blind peer review procedure by two members of the editorial board or appropriate external reviewers is carried out within 30 days of the manuscript receipt and the reviewrs` reports are sent to the editors. Reviewers assess the relevance of the study, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance and provide recommendations for possible improvement of the manuscript in the interests of readers.

Based on the results of the reviews, one of four decisions is made:

  • accept the manuscript for publication;
  • require revision by the author;
  • require additional peer review;
  • reject the manuscript.

Based on the reviewers' conclusions, the editorial board makes the final decision on the publication of the manuscript. Aaccording to the decision made, an email is sent to contributors on behalf of the editors.

If the manuscript requires revision by the author, 14 days are given to correct the comments. A manuscript sent by the author to the editors after the comments have been corrected is reviewed in the general manner.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject papers in the following cases:

  • the authors fail to comply with the rules for the formatting of the manuscript;

  • data falsification, fabricationof or other un-ethical behavior is detected;
  • the presence of restrictive markings.

If the manuscript is rejected and the author disagrees with the editor's decision, he or she has the right to appeal to the journal's editorial board, setting out specifc responses to any peer reviewers’ comments if those seem to have been the main cause of rejection, and to request additional review by another expert. The author may exercise this right only once.
